 About me

Hello my name is Karen,  (pronouns She/her)
I have been  a qualified counsellor since 2011. Before I set up my private practice I  volunteered my time as a counsellor with 
  • Cruse Bereavement Care 
  • ISAS Incest and sexual abuse survivors

I am qualified to diploma level  in therapeutic counselling.  To further develop my knowledge and interest in trauma  I have also completed  a post graduate certificate in trauma studies at Nottingham university.

I am a person centred counsellor which means that you are at the heart of the session, I will treat you as an individual and not judge you, or what you may wish to share with me. 
 

 Professional body

I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and work within their ethical framework. Registered member 64547

I hold an enhanced DBS certificate

I have moved my sessions online and not offer  all sessions via zoom
